The DART Blue Line Expansion from the Downtown Garland Light Rail Station to a new Downtown Rowlett station is an important economic engine that will help drive economic development in Garland, Rowlett and the entire Metroplex. DART has chosen the design-build method to deliver the 4.8 mile light rail project. It includes one station in downtown Rowlett, concrete structures, track work and other miscellaneous items.
Austin Bridge & Road has selected Parsons Brinckerhoff as the lead designer for this important project. The Austin Team is diligently pursuing MWBE contractors and consultants to participate in the project.
